SharePoint Channel create a list item that has a lookup field

Is it possible to populate a lookup field when creating an item in a SharePoint list using Pipelines?
I tried using the lookup field's Title and Id as the value for the field but neither worked.
In both cases the value of the lookup field in SharePoint is left blank.
