spellcheck

Spellcheck is not required by me; in fact, it causes me to expend so much extra time as it anticipates what I am typing.... as it deletes the letters I have put in.... up to 6 times.... as if it refuses to allow me to enter the name correctly.  PLEASE LET ME KNOW HOW TO DELETE SPELLCHECK FROM QUICK BASE.

    We do not implement a spellcheck within Quick Base. If spellcheck is being enforced that would be happening either within a browser's settings or as an add on to the computer itself. Quick Base as a platform doesn't apply spellcheck and we wouldn't have the ability to suppress or control functionality in a browser or computer's settings. For that you might need to reach out to your IT department. Thank you very much for your time today Linda. 
  • I used incorrect wording....When I do a search for a name within our Quick Base, customarily I will enter 3 characters and QB jumps in search of a match using the 3 characters... in the meantime, I continue inputting characters to complete the name and QB has deleted my previous letters and over and over again this results in a messy moment of confusion.  One may call it "autosearch" rather than spellcheck.  Can you help me remedy this problem??  thank you * *
  • Hi Linda,

    There is not currently a functionality to disable the search bars predictive search. That feature is built into the search bars themselves and isn't set up to be disabled. We do have an option issue for those users having trouble with it as a bug. I would recommend submitting a support case with our Care team so that your case can be tied to the open escalation on this issue. You can submit a support case when signed into Quick Base by clicking on the question mark icon that appears in the upper right hand corner of the screen and selecting "Manage Support Cases" or by clicking here. Thank you very much for your time Linda and I'm sorry there isn't a specific setting I can point you to in order to disable that behavior.
