Summary report question

Question

I need to create a report that will only show each customer once along with the unique values in several columns. What is the best way to accomplish this?

Have you tried a Summary Report Type and then group by the customer name and also group by those unique value fields?

I tried that, but the result was not what the user wants. It generated a report with the Customer name, the first time in standard text and grey in the subsequent rows. They only want the customer to appear once in the report. Would it work if I tried creating a combined text summary field for the fields where they want the unique values for each customer?
