Time of Call Shortcut

Hi all. Quick question. Does anyone know a short cut to change the field to the current time for the time of call field. I have tried N and T those do not work for this specific field.

    I think that you best bet will be to create a formula field for the current time

    ToTimeOfDay(now())

    and then a checkbox field and a form rule that says

    when checkbox is checked,

    Change the [time of day] field to the value in the field [time of day formula]
    change checkbox to unchecked.
