5 years agoYou can have a form rule that says when Related Parent >0, make read only related parent. You can also give the user a check box visible in edit mode to unlock related parent and put that in the form rule as well. (like if the poarent got deleted and the child needed to be re attached to a new parent.
I get what you are trying to do. You don't want the user to inadvertently change the parent record or clutter the input form with an extra data entry field when they launch off the parent..
