Treatment of Google Sheet in A Dashboard

I was delighted to find out that I could link a Google sheet to a dashboard object (web) and show the contents of sheet itself.  But it is really showing the whole file and whatever part is visible.  Also I am not too sure how this works for someone who may not have access to that google directory or document being shown in the dashboard.

Wondering if others had an experience and whether there is a better way to show a table in the google sheet in a more appealing way than just an embedded file.
