Triggering Apple Script from a QB Button

I have an Apple script that is very useful top my workflow. I'd like to be able to trigger it from a button (or ideally a field status change) in Quickbase. 

What is the correct way to do this?

I'm not knowledgeable with code and a very basic IOL addition is the fanciest I've ever gotten in my app.
