Trying to run a most recent note field

Hey Everyone, So I'm working on creating a interesting embedded report on a form I'm creating for a marketing firm. At the company we are working on list of prospects for clients, and I want to include near the top of the form a look at the most recent note that has been added to the note section without having to scroll up and down the screen. Has anyone done this before? or does anyone have any insight on how to do this? Thanks in advance for any information.

    On the relationship summarize the Maximum Record ID and call it [Record ID# of Most Recent Note].  Look that up back down to the notes child table.

    Then new Combined Text Summary field of the Note body field subject to the filter that
    [Record ID#] equals [Record ID# of Most Recent Note]

    Then make a formula text field on the Parent
    ToText([My combined text summary field]) so it won't look like a "pill" format.
