using GenAddRecords to fill a reference proxy field

I am trying to generate a record from a sign up form that will add new attendees. My problem is that when I add a new record I have to then select the related record manually instead of it being filled automatically. Screenshot attached for clarification. The [Event - Name] field is what I would like to self-populate but I currently have to select it from a drop-down after the record is created

    If you use the native Add Event Attendee button which will have been created by Quick Base from the relationship setup, and launch off the Event Record, then the Related event field should fill in automatically.
