I have two tables. The main table is DSO and the related table is activity.I'm trying to get a report grouped by the DSO Name and bring me back the record ID of the activity where the field Date Roster Reconciled is the greatest.I built a report and have the information like I want it but the link does not take me to the record of the activity.I created a summary field on the DSO table relationship to the activity table that gives me the max of the date field and the max of the record id. I also added the lookup on the activities table. It's just the link takes me to the DSSO record and not the Activity record. What am I doing wrong?
Good day! Is there a way to automatically send emails to all records that are 21 days past the [File Date] field? As far as I know, emails only get sent out when a record is modified or added. If it's not yet possible, I will highly appreciate any similar workarounds. Thanks in advance!------------------------------frnmj------------------------------

When bulk records are handled in a pipeline, are all of the applicable records updated simultaneously? Will they have the same modified date and time? I have notifications setup to be triggered when a date field is updated. I have a formula checkbox field used to identify the most recent record associated with an email address field value. The most recent record may not be the one that gets updated along with other records with the same email address field value. I don't want the email notification being sent before other associated records are updated. I am looking at using Bulk Record steps to reduce the number of pipeline steps I am currently using as well as handle everythingmore efficiently. I just need to know if I would be safe having the date field updated on the most recent record with the other potential changes without worrying about the email being triggered before all applicable updates are made.Thank you, in advance for any input. Let me know if I need to provide a v

I have a contact name proxy field on an activity form where I use a filter report to only allow the user to select contacts in a particular status. However I still want to allow users to log activities with contacts in other statuses, so I have given them a button to open a new activity form with the contact preselected for them. The issue I'm having is the field appears empty (shows "Search and Select") when this is the case. I know it isn't empty (I display the related record id itself on an admin section elsewhere in the form, and if I edit the name field and hit backspace it changes to indicate it has been edited), but it is very confusing to the user because it looks like it is.I thought a good way to get around this would be to use a form rule to make the field read-only since users won't need to change it in this scenario; however this results in the field displaying the record ID instead of the actual field value! So in either case using a filter report seems to cause a problem f
Good day everyone!I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this, but I wanted to reach out to see if anyone figured something out. Searches thus far has proven unfruitful. Is there a way to combine information on a single calendar view? For reference. We are adding a subsection for jobs that need to be related to the job but tracked separately. This sub job will have a start/stop date and time like the regular jobs, but at different dates. My end user would like for this sub job to show on his Job Calendar. The only way I can think of this is by making it a different form under the job table and have it show that way. Would this be the only way?
Hello, this is my first time here. I was wondering if somebody can help me with a Pipeline, Make a Request (Api_DoQuery)a. Search Recordsb. Make a Request (Api_DoQuery - Method: POST - Content Type: Application/JSONthe output in Activity Log shows what I need (current_record_qf)content:<?xml version="1.0" ?> <qdbapi> <action>API_DoQuery</action> <errcode>0</errcode> <errtext>No error</errtext> <dbinfo> <name>Subunit Goals</name> <desc></desc> </dbinfo> <variables> </variables> <chdbids> </chdbids> <record rid="80"> <current_record_qf>184,104.0080 ; 210,384.1373 ; 227,928.3268 ; 219,168.3467 ; 219,912.3468 ; 220,584.3469 ; 221,327.3470 ; 222,047.3471 ; 222,791.3472 ; 223,511.3473 ; 224,255.3474 ; 224,999.3475 ; 225,719.3476 ; 226,463.3477 ; 227,184.3478 ; 228,360.3663</current_record_qf> <update_id>1756412052839</update_id> </record> </qdbapi
I have a record that appeared to be missing a related record, but wasn't showing up on a report I have for identifying records with relational issues. It turned out that there was a value in my reference field, but it was pointing to a deleted record. This was not clear at all because the record picker for the related field (I have the record in edit mode) appeared exactly as if it were null/empty.It used to be that when a reference field had a value but there was no record in the foreign table with that id QB would display a red message indicating this, but now it simply says "Search and Select" as if there were no current value there at all. The only way to tell that there was a value there previously is to start editing the field and then hit backspace; QB will then highlight the field to indicate its value has changed (see pics). So I've been tearing my hair out staring at this record because it appeared to have a null value but it wasn't working with any of my null check formulae.
Hi Mobile Qrew! It's been a while since I've posted in here, and wanted to share the recap to a recent Asset Management Qrew Meetup that featured a mobile component to it. Cam Urevick and Kojo Acquaah from Mondelez/Levery Digital walked the Qrew through their hybrid desktop and mobile Asset Management App built for warehouse and finance teams. A mobile-ready Quickbase app powered by QR codes + Secure Links. Kojo and Cam demo’d scanning an asset QR code to open the asset record, then using a simple “mobile action bar” to launch either an Audit form or a Service Request form. The audit flow captured condition, mileage, photos, and notes. Dashboards + reports designed for action (especially on mobile). Next, they shared the mobile dashboards with gauge reports and drilldowns for overdue audits/PMs and missing assets, plus “My Asset Tags” for printing QR labels during rollout. They also highlighted Kanban reports as a fast way to move asset statuses during team collaboration on to
[Link to Quickbase Formula Builder Custom GPT] I've been using ChatGPT a lot this year, and have found it especially useful for writing simple code, typically in Python. I've attempted to use it for writing Quickbase formulas too, but it never got it quite right. A couple months ago, OpenAI released the "Custom GPT" feature for ChatGPT. This allows people to create custom chatbots designed to perform specific tasks by providing instructions and reference information. I had some free time at work, so I decided to attempt to make a Custom GPT that actually can write formulas for Quickbase. I provided some basic information on required syntax as well as a list of all of the built-functions.The result actually seems to work pretty well! I asked it to write a formula that calculates Sales Tax using a couple different rules, and this is what it wrote: var number taxRate = Case([State], "State1", 0.07, // Replace "State1", "State2", etc., with actual state names
At a glance: After February 10th, Pipelines will handle errors in loops more consistently:If a step fails during one loop iteration—even when that iteration includes an IF/ELSE branch—the pipeline will skip only that iteration and continue to the next. The full pipeline will only stop if you explicitly use a STOP step. Why we’re making this change In Pipelines, errors typically stop a pipeline run. That’s a safe default: if something unexpected happens, the pipeline pauses, allowing you to review and fix the issue. Loops are the notable exception. In many real-world automations, it’s better to keep going even if one item fails—especially when processing a list of records (like invoices or purchase orders). Today, loops already behave that way: If one loop iteration fails, Pipelines usually skips that record and continues with the next one. But we found an inconsistency: If an iteration includes conditional branching (IF/ELSE) and the logic step fails along that path, the entire pi
I understand that grid reports are still in beta, but I have been unable to edit records directly (inline editing) on embedded reports. I have doubled checked all the settings. I confirmed that inline editing is enabled, and I have tried this in multiple apps. Is this currently disabled?
I'm trying to post a Webhook into a CTMS and it's out of scope for QuickBase to help with. The documentation doesn't provide any info on posting Webhooks externally. I posted this about two years ago regarding performance issues when using cross-app relationships: cross-app relationships and performance We ultimately ended up not sharing data between the apps. But does anybody know if connected tables have the same issue? Meaning using a table in one quickbase app connected to a table in a different quickbase app. My guess is that regardless of the source app, the "connected" part is implemented via an internal script copying data from the source table to the target QB table. And that would also be the case even if the source was another quickbase table.Has anyone run into performance issues when using connected tables between QB apps?thanks!

I'm leaving this here in case I come looking for how it all works after I forget. I couldn't find anything that actually talks about this UX so here's my version.Recently we found out there is a setting at Quickbase farms where an attachment type field that contains a PDF can change the expected behavior from open the PDF in a browser tab to opening the "Save As" dialog. The differences in behavior can be regarded by Users as extra work. ie "I just want to look at the PDF, why do I have to download it first?" and conversely "I want to save this file, why is it appearing my my browser so I have to download it?" yeah we have both too.First ask QB to set the setting to your preference. In our case it was open in a tab to view over force Save As dialog. This handles the majority of use cases and exposes the alternate requirements. Below is how we solve the alternative requirements using Rich Text - Formula fields, now with Logic! What I mean by logic is if there isn't an attachment, don't l
What is the ifv parameter used for? As in "&ifv=0", "&ifv=1", etc.It seems to have something to do with iFrames but I don't see in the documentation or any Qrew discussions an explanation of what it's actually doing. The specific context I'm running across it is in a rich text report formula containing a hyperlink to display a specific record/form in a popup window. At first I thought it was just controlling whether the link would open as a popup, but that appears to be done using `class='OpenAsPopup'`. Also I'm see examples online using values other than 0 or 1, so I don't think my guess makes sense.

Intro: Hi! I’m Kojo Acquaah (he/him), Co-Founder of Levery. I’m originally from the Boston area, but have been living in Dallas, TX for the past 2 years. I’ve been using Quickbase since 2021. Quickbase Beginnings: How did you first discover Quickbase?I stumbled upon Quickbase when I was asked to cover for a colleague going on leave. What was the first thing you ever built in Quickbase?I was tasked with digitizing our Integrated Lean Six Sigma program we were using to assess and score warehouse, delivery, and management processes. Translating that complex methodology into a single, auditable Quickbase solution that helped to eliminate waste and enable continuous improvement was a turning point. It showed me how the platform could convert scattered chaos into an operational orchestra. When did you realize you were hooked on Quickbase?I knew I was hooked when I started pulling fragmented processes housed in spreadsheets, SharePoint docs, and other systems into Quickbase and began relating
Hi all! A daunting task I've put off forever is here. I need to build some dimensional reporting. Here's what I need to do:Extrapolate the following:Total individual clients served within a quarter, by the specific funding stream (upline from Interactions, Clients may be having multiple cases across multiple funding streams, and the stream is set at the Interaction level)Total individuals new that fiscal quarter for the fiscal yearIndividual client demographics (feeding from Client table)Individual client case victimization types (feeding from Case table)Individual clients who received any services across 4 service bucketsAnd then, the easy part, just a quick-and-dirty count of services by sub-category (about 30 of them or so)My table structure:Clients --> Cases --> Interactions > [Interactions Parent]: Funding Stream > [Interactions Parent]: Service LineWhat I have built so fa
Hi,I have a rich text formula field on my form where I have tried to make the whole background of the field white. I have tried everything from adding padding to border css, but no matter what I try, on the form there is still a grey border. Here is the Formula:"<div style='font-weight:bold; font-size:15.5pt; text-align:left; display: flex; background-color:white; padding: -10px; border:0px;'>ALERT</div>"Picture Attached of what it looks like.Thank you so much!
