I have a product table and a buyer table. For me to get the count of purchase made by a buyer I did create a max summary value in the relationship between the two. in the buyer table I can click on the summary value to see the chronology of the purchases. I want to record the purchases in another table by first looking if the buyer has bought more than 3 numbers of products for them to be added in the table. How do I go about this by ensuring I don't have duplicate records an also having this run to add a record when a customer makes another purchase?

Are you trying to do 3 unique products, or 3 of one product?

If the goal is a list of buyers who have bought more than 3 products, you may not need a second table. A Count summary field on Buyers, say [# Purchases], plus a formula checkbox of [# Purchases] > 3 gives you a report that's always current and can't have duplicates.

If you do need the records in another table, set the Buyer field in that table to Unique first. That's your safety net, since Quickbase won't allow a second record for the same buyer.

Then build the pipeline on your purchases table with Record Created as the trigger. Look up the buyer, add a condition that [# Purchases] is greater than 3, search the target table for that buyer, and only create the record when the search comes back empty.

Each later purchase runs the same check, finds the existing record and skips it, so you end up with exactly one record per buyer.
