Boston builders, you made the first Camp Quickbase of the season something truly special! On October 28, we spent a full day away from our inboxes and diving deep into Quickbase, which was exactly what this campfire was built for.Â

Â
Trail Notes from Camp Quickbase BostonÂ
The day opened at the Opening Campfire with Sam Trachy and Manny De La Cruz. They walked through the latest and greatest updates to Quickbase, recapped recent trainings, webinars, and Empower events, and shared wins and learnings from this past year. Then it was time for our campers to split up onto two trails!Â
The Beginner Trail started with Quickbase Essentials: structuring data, connecting information with relationships, building forms, reports, and dashboards, and giving the right people access to the app.Â
Our Mid / Advanced Trail campers went deeper on Solutions: building a Solution, managing multiple environments, and deploying updates safely. They also explored Turning Data into Documents, from building templates to choosing the right document-generation approach for an app.Â
The sessions wrapped up with a Product AMA around the closing campfire. Campers asked Sam and Manny to share the features they’re most excited about, what products and resources they hope more people will use, and, yes, their favorite scary movies just in time for Halloween.Â
When the sun went down, the trail didn’t end! We moved to our Campers’ Gathering, an evening reception and happy hour. Campers and counselors alike settled in with drinks and appetizers to swap stories, trade tips, and figure out who’s building what. Between the laughs and the campfire chatter, a lot of new friendships (and future app-building buddies) were formed.Â

Â
Trail Talk: What Campers Are SayingÂ
Campers came for hands-on training and to learn from each other, and they got both! Don’t just take our word for it. Â
A few of our campers were hesitant at the start of camp that their learning styles may not fit. One mentioned, he learns best by doing, and simply watching slides won’t help him retain the knowledge. But, when our camp counselors came over to help him get set up, he was relieved. “Everything just clicked,” he said, “and now I’m following along and very excited to be here.”Â
Every camper left with new connections, skills, newly built or refreshed apps, Camp Quickbase swag, access to the exclusive Campfire Collection in Quickbase University, and a free certification exam code.Â
One of our most tenured Quickbase users summed it up well – she came “To learn what I don’t know, I don’t know.” By the end of the day, she said was leaving with exactly that: brand new learnings. Mission accomplished.Â
