Automating Tasks Using Pipelines! Now that you have your shiny new toy in the way of our latest feature, pipelines, you will want to learn ways you can begin to take advantage of this amazing new feature. In this post you will learn how to automate your tasks quickly, efficiently and most important easily through pipelines. In this example I'll be using a simple Project Management application for the example use case. In this example we will need 3 tables; a Projects table, a Tasks table, and a Task Template table. I will also have a single relationship where Projects have many Tasks. Below is an example of my relationship diagram I will be working with. For this example, I will keep the fields as simple as possible, so we are only looking at the information we will need for this pipeline. The Projects table will consist of two fields: Project Name and Project Type. The Tasks table will have a Task Name, Status and a Sort field. The Task Template table will have a Task Name, Project Ty

Getting Started When will I have access to Pipelines? On Tuesday, February 25, 2020 we will begin a phased roll out of the Pipelines technology for Quick Base customers. We will be turning the feature on for groups of customers over the coming weeks. How do I access Pipelines? Since pipelines can work across Quick Base apps, you access Pipelines from the app bar. If Pipelines has been turned on for your account and you cannot see it, please contact your account administrator to have them enable your access. I'm just getting started with Pipelines, do you have any examples I can refer to? Yes, you can visit our community to learn how you can use Pipelines to generate template records and build trend reports. We'll be adding more examples throughout the year to give you more inspiration. Pricing How do I better understand my pricing and billing for Pipe
Are you having an issue with having your embedded report not showing your beautiful icons and formula fields when you have them set on Grid Edit?Well I sure did, and I wanted to save you all from my hour-long rabbit hole of trying to fix it. The problem: I had two embedded child reports on one form both set to grid edit mode, but only one was showing all the pretty icons and rich text formulas. Milestones embedded table showing icons in Grid Edit Tasks embedded table NOT showing icons in Grid Edit vs. What it should be showing So, I checked every field, link, permission, sub-children, grandparents, DNA, horoscope, formula, and view that I could find. I lined everything up so that it was exactly the same permission-wise, and still no dice. But then I thought of one more thing... The #*%?$@^! Form / Report Permissions... That's right kids. IF your table has more than one form you need to look at the permissions of your reports in that table. Most often they will just grab the pe

Earlier this year, we embarked on a journey to modernize the Quick Base interface. We committed to doing this in a safe and methodical way and began discussing some of the trade-offs on this Community post. We are proud to say that the time is almost here for customers to be getting their hands on our first large slice of this – the new table report – and providing us valuable feedback. This process will be slow and methodical. At the start, we will be more restrictive about the types of apps and environments that are suitable. As we add features and address bugs, that net will continue to widen. Here is the current progress: Throughout this modernization process, your feedback will be critical for its success. To that end, we are exploring a private, invite-only, forum, right here in the Quick Base Community where engaged builders can ask questions, read about progress and even provide some unstructured feedback to our interaction designers and/or engineers. We first showed you
