Can you believe that Quickbase has been hosting Empower since 2015?!
Much has changed since then (even how we spell "Quickbase") but Empower is still Empower: the best place to connect with others who use and love Quickbase.
Today we hear from Quickbase veteran MikeTamoush . Let's see what wisdom he can impart on us.
Mike Tamoush. Quickbase Architect. SES Family of Companies.
What are you most excited about for Empower this year? (e.g., sessions, speakers, networking, product updates, etc.)
I am most looking forward to the networking, but very closely followed by product updates! Empower is really has a great vibe.
What challenges or goals are you hoping to focus on while you’re there?
Fastfield has been a challenge to successfully integrate with our use cases, so I am hoping to connect with people who can demonstrate how they have implemented in their realm.
Why did you decide to attend Empower? Last year was not only a ton of fun, meeting everyone was a valuable way to give me new ideas, and see new tools that can potentially elevate my QB development.
What would make this event a success for you? Good product demos and breakout sessions, as well as time built in for networking.
Tell us about your first Empower experience. Where was it and what was memorable? I started using QB in 2019-20 when COVID hit, so all my first Empowers were virtual. Last year I went to New Orleans for the first in person Empower since then. It was a great experience, with a lot of good information and great people!
What’s been the best Empower in your opinion? What stood out? Being in person is really important, so for me it’s easy to say that New Orleans was my best Empower. Besides all the obvious items (Breakout sessions, networking, product demos), I was surprised how much delicious food and drink was provided!
How was it getting back to an in-person event after virtual-only years? A completely different experience, in a very positive way!
If someone is on the fence about attending this year, what’s your pitch? Why attend Empower 2026?Quickbase has fostered a fantastic community of developers, and this is a great way to meet everyone you talk to through a screen, as well as put faces to names with the QB staff.
