Hi guys.  I used the text below to create a button to update a text field.  It works perfectly on desktop but on mobile it updates the field several times which I see since I track changes to that field.  Any idea why it works on desktop but not  on mobile?

var text Approve = URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "?act=API_EditRecord&apptoken=myapptoken&rid=" & [Record ID#]
& "&_fid_295=Yes"; // change the 99 to the field ID# of the checkbox field

var text RefreshPage =  URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "?a=doredirect&z=" & Rurl();

Is this still an issue? If so can you post the full formula?

I only see the two variables for "Approve" and "RefreshPage", so the issue may be in the rest of the formula where these variables are used.

My guess is the mobile app is loading the API URL more than once, once for the edit and again when it follows the doredirect back. Desktop handles the two hops cleanly, mobile sometimes repeats the first one.

I’d make it one URL and let the API call redirect straight back to the record with rdr:

var text Approve = URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "?a=API_EditRecord&apptoken=myapptoken&rid=" & [Record ID#] & "&_fid_295=Yes";
var text Back = URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "?a=dr&rid=" & [Record ID#];
$Approve & "&rdr=" & URLEncode($Back)

That also drops the user on the record showing the new value instead of a raw API response.

If you still see repeats, hide the button with a form rule once field 295 is already Yes, so there’s nothing left to click.
