Checkbox is CHECKED even though information is incomplete. Can't change.

On an application we just started, there are some checkboxes next to items, such as "Development Team Thresholds" but there is no information fille out in that section. I can't UNcheck it. What is the point of checkboxes if you have no control and they automatically check as done when the information is still missing?

    Can you explain further? Are you saying you have a checkbox that is unchecked, and you will come back and it will randomly check itself? This should be impossible. Checkboxes can only check themselves in a few scenarios:

    1. The checkbox has the default set to checked.
    2. A user is checking the box.
    3. You are using a formula checkbox and the formula is satisfied.
    4. You have an automation, action, webhook, or pipeline that is firing and checking the box.

    If you cannot uncheck:

    1. It is a formula checkbox and will only uncheck when the formula is no longer satisfied.
    2. You are not in edit mode.
    3. There is a dynamic form rule, or some permissions set that make the checkbox read only.

    Can you expand on what exactly is happening?
