Wanted to see if I could get report records using JSON Fetch step. I get a response but there are no records in the response, just headers and metadata.

Method: POST

URL: https://api.quickbase.com/v1/records/query

Auth schema: Quickbase Usertoken

Headers:

QB-Realm-Hostname: yourrealm.quickbase.com

Content-Type: application/json

Accept: application/json

Get a report.
For future me.

records/query returns an object, not a bare array. The records live under data, with fields and metadata beside them. If JSON Records Path is blank, JSON Handler treats the whole object as one record — so you see headers/metadata and nothing to loop.

On the Iterate over JSON Records step (after Fetch JSON), set JSON Records Path to:

/data

Also make sure the Fetch JSON request body is a real runQuery payload, for example:

{"from":"YOUR_TABLE_DBID","select":[3,6,7],"where":"{6.EX.'Open'}"}

Swap in your table dbid, field IDs, and where clause. Keep QB-Realm-Hostname and the Quickbase Usertoken auth schema as you have them.

If you need the raw JSON body without the Iterate step, use the HTTP channel Make Request instead — JSON Handler compresses the body and only exposes records through Iterate.
