Popup record picker workaround!

I found a way to work around the popup record picker window. We find our desited record by typing so the popup was annoying, just showed up one day.

the workaround: create a multi select field and use your common proxy field as the source.
make your related record field be a formula field that uses the value from the multi select field. the caveat is the field also needs to be the keyfield for the relationship to happen, making it that way was actually pretty nice for our setup

    Hi Jonathan - the current record picker drop down defaults to a pop-up dialog over a certain number of entrees. Come Sunday though, all record pickers will be moved to our new search and type ahead picker which you can read about more in our release notes.
    And for Grid Edit also?
