Selecting items from a catalog table to a new order

I need to build a way to select multiple existing items from a catalog table to add to a new parent record.  Is there a way to do that?

    So you have the structure setup and can add the children records one by one, but you are now asking if there is a way to make the process faster for the users to add multiple children?
