Why am i seeing this syntax error?

Hello, i think this is simple question, do you know why i am seeing this formula syntax error? The formula seems to be working fine...

    is it giving an error when you save the field?  i've noticed periodically that it will show "live" syntax errors in the formula itself, but upon saving and reopening the formula is fine.
    No error when saving but it shows up when i reopen the field....

    What does it state when you mouse over the error triangle?
    It says expecting date...
