Can you color text in a text look-up?

I have a field [Worker or Project Name] that is a text look up to another table. I would like to be able to change the color of the text in the field but retain its link properties.

When I do:
<div style=\"background-color:yellow;\"> "&([Worker or Project Name])&" </div>
It no longer is link able. I am trying to build a conditional color change to the [Worker or Project Name], though I would it still link back to the parent if possible.

      use an <a frame> with an href to link back to the original parent record.  Similar to the vibrant buttons you want to use.
