Drop down filter vs user input filter

The filter for the District Name column is a drop down that the user can choose a selection from whereas the Division ID column the user types in what they are searching for. How would I go about changing the Division ID column to a drop down?

Is the Division ID a numeric or text field type?  I don't believe that numeric fields will offer up choices.

A good line that I will attribute to Scott Burday @Scott Burday, Trinity  at Trinity I.S.,  is that where you have a field that you don't intend to do math on then it should be a text field and not a numeric field even though it only has numbers in it.   

So you will have to consider the implications of changing that field to be a text field type. You may want to do this in a test copy of your application because if it gets used in other formulas or look up fields then you have to consider those applications.
