Could you just use a text field and call it Phone Number? I'm actually not sure if it's possible to change the formatting, but using a text field could accomplish your goal.
    Thank you.

Is there any new information on this?

Can a Phone Number field be set to display a country's format (like App Settings for Date and Currency?

    Thank you,

    Still no news and updates??
