This is some strange behavior, and I can't see what is possibly happening. Anyone else experience this?

I have a rich text button that performs some actions, and then uses Next URL. For my testing, I just used my NextURL to go to the app homepage.

When I click the button from a form, this is the URL:
https://mycompany.quickbase.com/db/bsnxkbpae?a=er&dfid=10&rid=610&NextURL=https%3A%2F%2Fmycompany.quickbase.com%2Fdb%2Fbsge67emn

This returns to the home page as expected.

When I click the button from a report, this is the URL:
https://mycompany.quickbase.com/db/bsnxkbpae?a=er&dfid=10&rid=610&NextURL=https%3A%2F%2Fmycompany.quickbase.com%2Fdb%2Fbsge67emn

This does not return to the home page, it simply lands on the report from where it was launched.

Notice anything strange? The URLs are EXACTLY the same. How can two URLs that are exactly the same, function differently? What am I missing??

To add to the strangeness: If I copy the second URL and paste it in a new browser tab, it WORKS as expected. Returns me to the correct spot.

It's "known" behavior that when you go into edit mode off a report, that in on Save, come hell or high water, you WILL be returned to that report, and it might even position you to the same scrolling down location where you were in the report.

If users want to land somewhere different after saving they will need to first view the record, (thus sort of canceling out the knowledge that you came from a report) and then push a URL formula button there.

Has been a pain point of mine for a while. I just started asking users to open the record before using those buttons.
