Pipeline changing the last modified by

I have a pipeline which runs based on the trigger and the last modified by default field only shows my name. Is there any way I can change the last modified by or create a new field based on who updates that records, it will record that name.

    Make a new field of type user called maybe [Last Modified by before Pipeline].
    Have the Pipeline also populate that field with [Last Modified by].
