Pipeline Failure due to special characters

Hello -

We have several apps on our account. One app uses a pipeline to send data to another. Some drop downs have "&", commas, "#" in the options and the pipeline fails anytime one of those options is selected.

Is there an easy workaround for this? I was thinking the other app owner could create a formula field on their side and use the URLEncode(ToText()) where needed and then use those fields to pass the data to my app...would that work? Is there an easier solution?

Is there anything in the works to fix this issue?
