Record Picker Distinct Values

Hello,

I have a reference field I am showing as a dropdown for data entry. The record picker is showing repeated values rather than distinct. I tried creating a summary report on the value and summarized on the distinct count and grouped by equal values. The output of the report is what I want but when I change the record picker of the report link to this summary report it still shows repeated values.

Is there something I can change to make the summary report as my record picker work the way I want it to? And/Or do you have any other ideas on how to accomplish this?
