Relationship With A connected Table

I have a connected QB table in an app. This has record ID as the key field. It has a field known as location number. I am quite keen to relate this table to another table using location number as the linking field but cannot seem to find a way. Any guidance on this? I am happy to work off a replica mirror table if that is something can be created off the connected table or if there are any QB actions created but need help.

      Is the Location # unique in that table?  ie are there any duplicates or could there be any duplicates?  If not, then you may change the Key field of the connected table to be the Location.

      Thanks.  Yes it is unique. This is an easy option and thank you for the insight. 
      You should ensure that on the source table, that Location field is marked as unique.
