Report Formual Fiel

Question

I'm trying to add a report formula and the formula is based on a multiple choice text field.
It's simple, I'm trying to just pull the ones where there is nothing in the closed reason field.
I can't seem to get it to work.  This seems like something I should know but I can't figure it out.

If its a simple filter, then you can just have a filer where closed reason "is equal to" and then just leave the box blank.

If you actually have a more complex formula which you are unable to do with a simple report filter, then it's like a formula in a formula field and you would test for blank like

[Closed Reason] =""
