Sort and Group Not alphabetical?

I am confused on sort and group. I have this set to group and sort high to low. That looks arbitrary to me. How is the SDTL not on top? How is DTL randomly in the middle?

Is there something I dont understand about how the alphabet works?

Update - must be a bug. I removed the sorting, saved, then put the sorting back exactly how it was and it works now. ???

Not sure what caused it to sort wrong. I'm thinking its because it was sorted by a multiple choice field, and then i added choices into that multiple choice field. Maybe it got confused...?
