Subtotals in table reports

Question

As a marketing / feature end of life story by Brian Cafferelli from 12-21-2020 it stated that

"We are also exploring improvements to the collapsible groups in the new table reports, so you can collapse all groups while still seeing the subtotals. That is a change we're considering making as a fast-follow after new table reports become the default in Spring 2021."

At this time when you collapse the group the subtotals still disappear. Is there a way to activate this feature, or is it not live yet?

I know that this feature does not yet exist but they are working on it. But there is certainly no published timeline for this to be released so you will have to use alternative methods for now.
