Suppress email notification

Can I create a button or checkbox in the edit mode of a record that will suppress the email notifications from going out when the record is saved?
When I'm maintaining a project and working in and out of records, I would rather that each subscriber didn't get a pile of notifications for minor changes.

    You can change the settings in the email notification to send out only when specific fields change. You would need to determine what those fields are in the projects table and then tweak your notification, thus. Hope that helps!
