TBD option for date field

Question

Hello,Looking for a way to have some sort of "TBD" option with a date field. The users would like to know if the field is strictly blank or if is its something that is still being discussed. Is there a way to do this? Or has anyone had a similar ask and found a way to tackle this? You only option is to have a field to show in view mode and on report which is a text formula field. You would need a checkbox field for [TBD?]

Some like

IF(IsNull([My Date field]) and [TBD]=true, "TBD", ToText([My Date field])
