Hi Vivek,

There is not a fixed limit to the number of notifications that can be created on a table. I would say that as the number of notifications go up that does become part of the complexity of your app that contributes to performance as they have to be checked on a save to see if they trigger. They tend to be a smaller impact but still always good to be aware of. Also you would want to be careful from a best practices stand point that one record change doesn't set off multiple emails to the same person(s) with too much overlap if there is a lot of complexity in your app. That can result in people missing emails or getting notification fatigue. I hope that information is helpful Vivek.

Not really limits on how many can be created but there are limits on how many notifications can actually fire or be sent out. This is from the QuickBase feature limits. It is also just for subscriptions and reminders I believe.

  • You can only send subscriptions and reminders to the number of registered users of an app per table per day, with a cumulative limit of 4,000.
For notifications I cannot find it written anywhere but my memory is telling me something like the number of notifications sent is limited to 3x the amount of users in your app per table per day. But that may have changed at some point, and I don't see it listed in the feature limits above which is strange. Maybe they meant to include it.
