Question

Using QB as a recruiting tool without adding a paid user.

I am exploring the utilization of QB as an initial repository of interested candidates for our company recruiting effort. I've created a separate table for candidates to upload their information and attachments using "everyone on the internet", but it appears that I have no way to actually allow them to add additional information or attachments if requested without creating a new record. Any suggestions?

Create a separate table for "documents" and link it to the table 'candidates' (one to many relationship). So, one candidate can upload many documents. And, you can pull an embedded report from table 'documents' into your 'candidate' table to show all documents uploaded by a candidate within their record.

I am trying to attach a jpeg file to show you an example and it is not coming through properly

How does that work though if days later HR requests additional documents to be uploaded? My current link only takes them to "+New Applicant". How do now direct them to upload linked to their file? Sorry, but I am a bit new to all of this.

Kingsly - as an "anonymous" user; the general public will not be able to edit their original entries or attach their documents to existing records without the permissions to see everyone else's records.  John - you will need to either have them submit their documents; entering key information about themselves (such as an email address) on each record so that you can "connect" the documents to their original resume entry more easily.

There are some solutions you could opt to build into your candidates table which might be able to offer you a solution; but they would be better discussed 1-on-1.
