IT Networking: Addressing the Challenges of Enabling the Business to Do More

Welcome to the IT networking community thread. Join your IT peers to discuss the challenges you are facing in your organization, your strategies for addressing them and learn from your peers in other companies how they are problem solving every day.

Tell us a bit more about your own experiences in IT (there are a few example questions below or you can feel free to talk about what is bringing you to the IT networking session):

  • What is the biggest struggle with implementing new software applications in your environment?
  • Who do you go to when you want to learn more about the tools available to you?
  • How do you balance improving continuously with ensuring your changes have structure, standards, and governance for long term success?
Also we would love to know a bit more about you, the roundtable can be a great way to network and get to know other builders in your space (some example questions below):

  • If you could have any craft or practical skill that you do not currently have which skill would it be? (Things like woodworking, pottery, painting, electrical, computer skills, etc.)
  • What is a song/album that you use to help you get pumped up or focused when taking on a new project?

Interested in other ways you can connect with your fellow Quick Base builders, share your feedback with us, get rewards and Quick Base Swag and open up opportunities to share your own experiences and speak about your work? You can join our Heroes Program right here!

  • Hello Everyone,

In speaking with a number of Gartner and Forrester analysts in the past 6 months, they have all said they have seen a significant increase in customer inquiries around low-code application development, and specifically about how to enable the wider organization. The questions are no longer if they should proceed, but rather how to proceed? And what issues should they make sure they address?

The goal of this session is to discuss exactly that. Share ideas and best practices amongst colleagues on how they have successfully deployed low code application development across their company. What are the issues? Concerns? And how they addressed them. Take advantage of the wisdom of the crowd! In preparing for the session, I would suggest you think about the following:
    1. What are your biggest concerns in increasing the use of low code application development within your organization?
    2. What are your strategies and plans for successfully deploying low code application development more widely within your organization?
    3. What is your view on Governance for low code application development?
In the meantime, please post any questions or comments on what you would like discuss during the session.

This is Giovanni Mancini, and I am looking forward to facilitating our discussion.
