Have a timesheets table and it helps with accruing Paid time off.I need to implement a policy that PTO will max out at 160 hours in a running total field. The running total field looks like this:var text QONE = "{23.BF.'" & [Date] & "'}AND {56.EX.'"& [Related Resource] &"'}";var text QTWO = "{23.EX.'" &[Date] & "'}AND{3.LTE.'" & [Record ID#] & "'}AND {56.EX.'"& [Related Resource] &"'}";Min(160,Nz(SumValues(GetRecords($QONE),193)+Nz(SumValues(GetRecords($QTWO),193),0)))THE PROBLEM: When I use the Min function it doesnt calculate against the 160 value in the formula. If the balance is 200 hours, any subsequent line entries build off the 200 value although the table above shows 160. Here is the table without the Min function:When I try to change the formula in the PTO in the something likeIf([PTO BALANCE]>=160,0,[Hours worked]*[PTO Rate] I get an error that I cannot write a formula for a field that is based on its
As you might have noticed, there were a bunch of small things we’ve added in Pipelines over the last year. We tried something simple: one day every month dedicated purely to improving usability. No splashy launches - just a steady drumbeat of small, high-impact fixes and polish that make building and maintaining Pipelines faster and clearer. What is “Delightful Pipelines Day”? Once a month, one of our our Pipelines teams pauses roadmap work to ship bitesize improvements aimed at removing friction: clearer labels and messages, better navigation, smarter defaults, and friendlier states. Many of these come straight from your comments and feedback in various channels. The rule is that it should be no more than a day's work. In just a year we’ve delivered over 50 separate improvements. Below are the top improvements we shipped this past year - each one small on its own, but together they add up to a meaningf
I have a question about the "Create a new..." option shown on record pickers, and whether it can be disabled without restricting functionality anywhere else.I have a two distinct record pickers on a form for choosing a related parent record. Each record picker is filtered using a different report and is shown only if the child record is in the appropriate status (either record picker A or B). Thus the user sees only the appropriate set of records to choose from depending on the child record's status. However, since the record picker shows a "Create a new..." option, it is possible for a user to add a parent record from here but NOT set up the new parent record with the necessary criteria for it to show up in the same record picker. As a result, users are inadvertently creating duplicate records on the parent table when they go to choose a parent record and don't see the one that was recently created.I don't want to change access settings for the parent table generally, and I don't want
It appears that the text does not wrap when the column width is reduced in the new report. Instead, the text becomes hidden and does not display ellipsis (three dots). To view the comments, I have to either set the row height to “Max” or open each record individually. However, setting the row height to “Max” makes the report excessively long and difficult to scroll, even when comments contain only a single line. Additionally, this setting does not display the entire comment within the defined column width, requiring me to increase the column width as well.

I'm sure I'm missing something obvious, but I'm stuck. I have a "Cases" table. Many other tables/forms pull from/reference this table using either one-to-many or many-to-many relationships. I recently added three new cases. But in some tables these cases appear grayed out and italicized, but in others they are selectable. It seems that in single-select fields they appear as normal and are selectable but in multiselect fields they are gray, italicized, and not selectable. Any thoughts on how to troubleshoot this?------------------------------Paul Easton------------------------------

Hello!Trying to setup a Secure Link where an unregistered user clicks on a link in an email, is able to check a box to mark inventory delivered, and then save and close. However, after saving and closing, I want to redirect them to a rich text page I've made, however any version of the link I try to use now prompts a 400 Error. Now, this might have something to do with the fact the first link I sent myself on another, unlogged in browser, still works. Not sure why that would be.First link, without any Rich Text redirect: https://axisseed.quickbase.com/db/bvhrw62s5?a=er&dfid=13&accesskey=57730592963ae9115a8b8d58de74bc518cf87f33cc94d58e01e4bce09d0ce6a8&rid=2Second link: https://axisseed.quickbase.com/nav/app/bq78x5qrf/table/bvhrw62s5/action/er&dfid=13&accesskey=df46c3330a5aa235fadbcb34849f0e0dd4bfc7965208570684b9ef2153f77c3a&rid=21&rdr=https://axisseed.quickbase.com/db/bvhrw62s5?a=dbpage&pageID=20The part I'd like to focus on is:&rdr=https://axisseed.qui
I have an app that I inherited that uses the old form style and rules. Is there a way to set the form to un-require fields if a field checkbox is checked? There are several fields that are set to required and didn't want to have to add 30+ fields to a dynamic rule to make them unrequired - is there a more efficient way to set this up?Thanks, LB
Is anyone able to get Chrome (or Edge) to auto preview pdf files (saved in attachment fields) as opposed to downloading them? There is a setting in Chrome for this, but it doesn't seem to do anything (at least, it doesn't change the behavior of a pdf in a file attachment field). Is there a way to force a browser to view a pdf rather than download it?
Hey Qrew,I have an app tracking employee safety reports. I have Pipeline emails that send out when a new report is submitted, when it's assigned to someone for follow up, and when that person has submitted the response.I need it to be a Pipeline email instead of a native notification because I need it to send as an email thread to everyone instead of to each person individually. I'm trying to add a link that says "Click here to open the record" in the email so the person it's been assigned to can open the form and modify the fields their role has access to.Can someone help me create that jinja code? I've tried to find it somewhere in the ether and can't find anything that's specific to what I need. Thank you!!
Hi Everyone - I'm integrating HubSpot with Quickbase using Zapier. When triggered, a new Company record is created just fine. However, I have a data rule in place on the Companies table in Quickbase that typically prevent duplicate Companies from being created. It's not working with this integration and in testing, I was able to create a duplicate Company. Does anyone have suggestions or experience with Zapier integrations and have a suggestion? This is my Data Rule in table settings for Companies: If( IsNull([Record ID#]) and Size(GetRecords("{6.EX.'" & [Company Name] & "'}")) > 1, "A COMPANY ALREADY EXISTS WITH THIS NAME.")I commented out the "IsNull" line just to test, and it still created a duplicate record. Sounds like a timing issue but not sure how to correct.

Hello everyone,I have a rich text formula field that I would like to show on the Document Template - what is interesting is that the "legend" is showing but not the pie chart itself. I am wondering if the style is conflicting with Word essentially. I tried already wrapping in a div to see if that would solve the issue but it is persisting. The Code is here and the image of the Document template is below the code. Thank you so much!Code:var text SZ = "200"; //Adjust this number to make the pie bigger or smaller//include a space after each colorvar text ACOL = "LightSkyBlue "; //Heating All Fuelsvar text BCOL = "Gold "; //Cooling All Fuelsvar text CCOL = "Hotpink "; //Ventilation All Fuelsvar text DCOL = "MediumOrchid "; //Domestic Hot Watervar text ECOL = "CornflowerBlue "; //Lightingvar text FCOL = "Lime "; //Cookingvar text GCOL = "yellow "; //Refrigerationvar text HCOL = "DarkViolet "; //Office Equipmentvar text ICOL = "red "; //Computervar text JCOL = "orange
1999 felt like an exciting time. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time swept the Game of the Year awards. Everyone was Livin La Vida Loca. It’s also when Quickbase first hit the scene. A lot has changed since then, especially when it comes to technology. Over time, we’ve improved and reimagined the visual look and feel of the Quickbase platform. Starting on December 14th, you’ll notice that we’ve updated the Quickbase interface once more. All of the same functionality and layout is staying the same, but with a fresh coat of paint. What’s NewThese visual updates include new colors, fonts, and icons across various pages. This new look should feel familiar, since we have focused on making our app builder pages more consistent with the rest of the product. We’re talking about blue buttons, softer colors, and a more sleek and elegant appearance overall. For example, here is your new login page: Here you can see the new settings icons and table headers: And here is our new dialogue for sha

Hi all,In one of our apps, we have a table called Projects and another child table called Project Staff. On the Projects table, we have a collection of URL buttons to create new Project Staff records for specific project roles. For example, there's a dedicated button labeled "Add SPM" to create a Project Staff record in a pop-up and pre-set the value of the "role" field to "Senior Project Manager." The user then just selects the name of a Senior Project Manager from a filtered drop-down list, and clicks Save.Yesterday, I created a new Formula Rich Text version of this button with the goal of having the pop-up close automatically after the user clicks the "save" button, and then refresh the Projects record they started from. Working from a simple code page/button example I found here, I was able to get it working. I added 5-6 Project Staff records using this new button, and every time, it did what I wanted. Yay!!!Then a few hours later, I circled back to customize the text & col
Has anyone figured out if there is a way to show a thumbnail for an attachment on new mobile forms? There are a couple different ways to use formula rich text fields to show a thumbnail, but as near as I can tell this only works on desktop or legacy mobile. Curious if this is just a limitation of the new mobile, or if someone has figured out a solution.

Hi all. I have a timecards table where users track all the things they're working on. Relatedly, we have a separate child timecard table, with a narrower field list but otherwise the exact same records. This was done a while ago to reduce volume on long term storage of these records because we hit the table limit of 500 MB. So anytime a timecard record gets created or edited in the parent table, there's a pipeline that checks to see if the record has any related child timecard records. If not, it creates a new child timecard record with all the relevant fields populated. If there is already a child timecard record, it updates that child record with all the newest field values. Then as the last step (only for new timecards), updates the newly created child timecard record with the Related Parent Timecard value so it's easy to verify all timecards have exactly 1 child record. Other than being resource-intensive, this pipeline works perfectly fine most of the time. However, twice/mon
Hello,I need to set up a reminder/notification/email or something in Quickbase that sends an email 6 months before a date stored in a record. The reminder should go to:• The email address in the record’s email field (this person may not have a Quickbase account)• A fixed list of additional recipients who are always the same, regardless of the record. How can I do this? Thanks!
