Introducing the Quickbase AI Console!
You probably hear it all the time – “in an increasingly fast-paced world.” But in this fast-paced world, it somehow feels harder than ever to quickly execute. You’re being pulled in a million different directions, with a billion distractions. Here at Quickbase, we call that work behind the work Gray Work. Heck, looking for a data point can become a twenty-minute-long ordeal as you shuffle through all your point solutions. What can you really accomplish in five minutes?
As it turns out, you can do quite a bit.
When the Quickbase team thought about our overall AI strategy, one thing kept coming to mind – how can we help our users get more value from the platform, solve more problems, and solve those problems more efficiently? We’ve done this incrementally so far, with features like building apps with AI Smart Builder, and or the ability to surface insights with AI Data Analyzer. But what we haven’t done yet is provide a way for you to do all those things in one place, at one time, without the need to search all over the platform. That’s where the Quickbase AI Console comes in. Even better – you can get started with an end-to-end solution in just five minutes. Yep, we timed it.
Read below to learn about our Quickbase AI Console and some of our key AI skills that allow you to have more time to do what matters most.
Unifying AI with a Unified Console (beta)

We’ve provided AI across our platform, but navigating across that platform to use AI is not the most efficient way of working. Our new Quickbase AI console puts several of our most used AI skills right at your fingertips, including the ability to build apps or pipelines or interacting with your data through Ask Quickbase AI and Quick Insights. Within the platform, you can access it via the search bar at the top right of your screen. After the October release, we’ll make it more discoverable through the ✨we’re adding next to the search bar. From there, the Quickbase AI Console can be your guide to accelerating your to-do list or solving your most pressing pain points.
AI Smart Builder: Build Apps (beta)
Time to Impact: ~50 seconds
Have a business* problem? Need a creative solution? There is an app for that, and it’s made just for you. All you need is an understanding of what you’re looking to solve for, and what you’re looking to track, and Quickbase AI can build you a bespoke application – complete with reports and dummy data – all in less than a minute. Even better, our AI is smart enough to reference applications that sit in our Exchange to help ensure you get the highest quality application possible.
*Note: Quickbase AI provided me an incredible app to track our large family vacation, so while it’s purpose-built for work management – there is no limit to what it can solve for ;).
AI Smart Builder: Build Pipelines (beta)
Time to Impact ~120 seconds
Have you ever seen those web browsers that give you instant anxiety? You know the ones – your colleague that has 30 tabs open at any given time, all housing different programs they need to access to do their job. Quickbase aims to solve for this sprawl by providing pipelines, a way to integrate all of your data and programs, and help your work flow seamlessly. So, instead of sending a Slack message every time a new task is entered in your project manager app, a pipeline can automatically do it for you. But setting up a pipeline manually takes a bit of time that you may not have. With Quickbase AI, you can generate a pipeline by just explaining to the AI what you need to connect. You can start with a few suggested pipelines, or converse back-and-forth to land on exactly the blueprint you’re looking for. New functionality lets you edit these pipelines and provide inspiration as to different workflows you can connect. Once your blueprint is created, suggested field values help you configure the pipeline to get It up and running in a flash. Now, you can *finally* close out some of those tabs – because your work is connected in a snap.
Ask Quickbase AI (beta)
Time to Impact ~40 seconds
Many of you are power users and know your app like the back of your hand and can write SQL in a second. However, many of your team members may not be quite as comfortable in Quickbase. When multiple team members have access to applications, their ability to find answers quickly can often mean creating extra or duplicative reports, conducting manual searches or you needing to step in to lend a hand. Ask Quickbase AI enables users to use chat to surface data-backed, filtered results from application tables and fields. Just navigate to the table you want to dig into and Ask Quickbase AI to display the records you’re looking to filter – for example “Show me high priority tasks for the Wireless Initiative Project that are still not completed.” In approximately 40 seconds, you’ll receive a temporary filtered table report that answers your question. This table report is something you can choose to save, or you can use it to inform your decision making, eliminating the black box of AI and confidently giving your team the data they need – without you needing to lift a finger.
AI Data Analyzer: Quick Insights (beta)

Manual data analysis is complex, and a lot of us don’t have a data scientist on call (if you do, I’m a bit jealous). At Quickbase, we believe that everyone should have access to AI-powered insights from their data, as they can help identify savings, stay ahead of equipment downtime, boost sales and overall improve your bottom line. The Quick Insights skill leverages AI to examine your datasets and uncover the different factors that can drive an outcome. You can select the table or field you want to examine, and view what data points can potentially influence, for example, a project to run over budget or the likelihood of winning new business. With these insights, you’ll be better equipped to adjust before problems surface, inform your company KPIs, and stay ahead of whatever your job throws at you, all in about 30 seconds.
Total Time to Impact ~4 minutes
In less than five minutes, your team can build out the basics of an AI-powered solution that helps you not only better understand your business but helps solve business your problems. Better yet, you don’t need in-depth knowledge of Quickbase to see this value, so more of your team members can feel empowered to jump in themselves.
