Hi - Right, what I'm saying is that in _view_, we display the record ID#, if you have no proxy.
We do have a behavior change coming in this release where we will display the record ID# _and_ the first column if the drop down is _not selected_ (you are just "viewing" in "edit").
Based on the responses I'm seeing here, it seems like some there are a few different things being discussed. Both what is displayed in the drop down in edit (the fact we added the Record ID#, which is already visible on view) and what is shown when a value is selected, but the drop down isn't in focus.
