Harrison, I think the point that many of us have tried to make in this thread is that as developers we have gone to a lot of effort over the years to hide the record ID in these drop-downs, because 99% of the time they are useless to the end user and just equate to more "noise". Rolling out a new feature that retroactively defeats those efforts and sticks the record ID back into the UI (when we have purposefully removed it) is not helping us. Who would want this? In fact, I would say it's more reasonable to flip your question above around backwards... "Can you share a use case where you WOULD want the end user to see the record ID?" With my applications and my users, my answer to that would be virtually never.
