Systems Developer
Full-time systems developer responsible for developing and implementing multiple web application integrations and customizations as needed to Quick Base, our core business platform. The candidate will work under the guidance of the Systems Manager and will: 1) evaluate current web application use and help identify areas to improve existing functionality and workflow, 2) plan and develop application enhancements and specific platform integrations where needed, and 3) assist with developing automations from multiple applications to Quick Base. They will also perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Web application integrations, customizations and automations
- Perform programming duties on Quick Base and other applications within current environment to improve overall functionality and usability
- Assist with building custom reporting templates and graphic displays
- Coordinate with staff to ensure optimal and user-centric application design and functionality
- Maintain up-to-date technical documentation
- Other duties as assigned.
Primary Qualifications:
- BS/BA or associates degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant discipline preferred
- Proven experience as a programmer or relevant role
- Ability to program in languages such as C++, Java (J2EE), XML, HTML, Python etc.
- Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (Django, Flask, GWT, jQuery, Wicket, Spring MVC)
- Experience with application program interfaces, preferably RESTful API
- Experience using and programming webhooks
- Write well designed, testable, efficient and documented code
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to effectively manage competing deadlines or projects
- Committed team player with the ability to develop and maintain productive work relationships
- Flexibility conducive to a fast-paced, growing company environment
