Embedded New Grid Edit Reports: Filters & Sorting Not Available in Edit Mode?
Hi everyone, I'm running into an issue with embedded New Grid Edit reports on a form and wanted to see if others have experienced the same thing. When the parent form is in Edit mode, the embedded New Grid Edit report does not allow filtering or sorting. However, when the parent form is in View mode, the same embedded report does allow filtering and sorting. Is this an expected limitation of New Grid Edit reports, or is it a bug? My use case is that users need to select records from a potentially large list using inline editing (checkboxes). Without filters or search, they have to scroll through many records, which defeats much of the purpose of inline editing. Has anyone found a workaround or implemented a better pattern for this scenario? I'd really appreciate any suggestions or confirmation on whether this is simply a current product limitation.
