Hi Suzanne: There are a quite a few options to add records to QuickBase using EOTI or Everyone on the Internet. EOTI is the anonymous user that can be assigned a role that allows them to add records to QuickBase without a user license. This is great for surveys, registrations, customer trouble tickets, etc. Check out the following videos that describe how you can do this. See the cool things you can do with "Formula Queries". You in essence are creating fields that do summary, lookups and calculations and including these formula queries as a column in your table report. Mark is right that that dashboards cannot be the default table home page, however... What about using the new dashboard pages to create a suite of each table's reports? Then create a new main dashboard page with buttons that take you to the respective table "dashboards". You could then hide the tables... I guess you are manually recreating the QuickBase experience aren't you? You'd have to add the links to all the reports, etc., but your use case might be worth it. In the end, you can be as creative or as eccentric as you like. :-) Definitely go to https://quickbase.uservoice.com and make your suggestion. Our product managers really watch these suggestions. ------------------------------ Kirk Trachy , Senior Solutions Consultant QuickBase | 603-674-5454 M | ktrachy@quickbase.com ------------------------------ Re: Add Logo to Quickbase HeaderLeah: I like uploading graphics to: https://imgur.com/upload Then capturing the link and insert it into the basic header. Because it is hosted in an https site it will render for you. Alternatively, you could create an images table, upload a graphic and capture that URL (has to be https) but that also means you have to set all the roles and permissions to see that graphic stored in that table. If you have a number of roles it kind of gets out of hand and you will some day forget when you are adding a new role and the graphic won't show for those people. Anyway, I find uploading to the link above easier and shorter. Upon saving a Pipeline edits the original record. 1. Someone fills out a form. 2. They get an email with an update button. 3. The person wants to update so they press the button. The button has embedded in it all the details they originally submitted. 4. When they press the button it fills out the form with everything known. This gives people the option to edit the known data or add to it. 5. Upon saving, a QuickBase Pipeline fires to update the original record. 6. Because the update table is a child of the original submission form, it naturally keeps a record of all the changes. There is a video on the dashboard of the application that goes over the theory behind this. We cover topics like this during out daily (M-F) "Office Hours" webinars held each weekday at 1:00PM Eastern. All are welcome. ------------------------------ Kirk Trachy , Senior Solutions Consultant QuickBase | 603-674-5454 M | ktrachy@quickbase.com ------------------------------ Re: Display number of rows in a reportHi Davy: YOU CAN LIMIT OR DISPLAY A COUNT OF RECORDS OR MAKING A TABLE REPORT VIEW CONTAIN MORE THAN 200 RECORDS Create the view you want and then append the URL with &qrppg=1000 Where 1000 is just the number you wish to show in any table view. It could be 500 or 723 if you like. Possible?Hi Jack: A couple of things come to mind. 1. In each table you can add "Custom Data Rule" (from the table click "Settings" and then "Advanced settings") that when a field is updated and it either contains other urls or does not contain a salesforce URL that it will prevent the manual editing of the form. 2. Another option if you are running a pipeline or some other API process is to set up a pipeline and should anyone add something that doesn't contain salesforce, have the pipeline edit that field and remove the link. We cover things like this in our daily, open Q&A webinars, "Office Hours" held M-F at 1pm Eastern. https://quickbase.com/webinars/ ------------------------------ Kirk Trachy , Senior Solutions Consultant QuickBase | 603-674-5454 M | ktrachy@quickbase.com ------------------------------ Re: Widget Code For Dashboard?Morning Mike: Post it here so we can see it. You may be able to add it to a DBPage and then link to that page as a web widget on your dashboard. You might try excluding the javascript portion and go right to the dbpage. In essence you would be trimming off the portion that opens in a new window. You'd be removing this off the front: "javascript:void(window.open('" & and remove this on the end: & "','copyRecursive','top=240,left=320,width=400,height=150,location=no,menubar=no,toolbar=no'))" Leaving you with: URLRoot() &"db/" & Dbid() & "?a=dbpage&dbid=" & [_DBID_STAGING_TYPE] & "&pagename=copyParentChild-Select.html&onlyDBIDs=Table1.Table2.Table3&rid=" & URLEncode([Project Staging Type - Record ID#]) &"&dest=refresh&destrid=null&Table1-43=" & URLEncode([Staging ID]) & "&Table2-32=" & URLEncode([Staging ID]) & "&Table3-32=" & URLEncode([Staging ID]) & "&Table1-45=" & URLEncode(Today()) & "&Table1-44=" & URLEncode([Related Job]) & "&Table2-35=" & URLEncode(Today()) & "&Table2-33=" & URLEncode([Related Job]) & "&Table3-34=" & URLEncode(Today()) & "&Table3-32=" & URLEncode([Staging ID]) I have done this with a number of other buttons to avoid the javascript warning/inhibition. I don't have your environment to test but you should be able to go directly to the page. ------------------------------ Kirk Trachy , Senior Solutions Consultant QuickBase | 603-674-5454 M | ktrachy@quickbase.com ------------------------------ Re: Creating formula field based on another text field and a sequential numberWhen you are adding a record, there has not been a Record ID# created so we have to use a temporary stand in to satisfy that a key field has to be unique. So we concatenated the first 3 letters of the company name with 6 zeros in a formula. When the record is saved a form rule moves that temporary key value into the Key Field. This will remain as the key field until the Pipeline updates it with the new knowledge of the records Record ID#. Feel free to pop into any of my, "Office Hours" webinars held M-F at 1pm Eastern time and we can discuss further. ------------------------------ Kirk Trachy , Senior Solutions Consultant QuickBase | 603-674-5454 M | ktrachy@quickbase.com ------------------------------
