ContributionsMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Upcoming Changes to JavaScript in QuickbaseThere should really be a solution for displaying PDFs inline in forms!!Redirecting to previous page after creating appointmentI thought this had been covered before in the forums, but I couldn't find the answer. I am trying to create a new record from a report page with the default new record button. Then when I save the appointment I'd like it to redirect to the previous page. I've tried various versions of what's below using the IOL technique but can't seem to change the behavior to redirect after save. The idea is to get the current URL of the report page, then store it as a URL parameter that can be accessed on the next page. It just displays the new record instead of redirecting. Thanks in advance for any help! $( document ).ready(function() { var newApptButton = $("#stdAddRecButton"); var saveButton = $("#saveButton"); var searchParams = new URLSearchParams(window.location.search); var rdrURL= searchParams.get('RedirectURL'); console.log(rdrURL); newApptButton && console.log(newApptButton.attr("href", newApptButton.attr("href") +"&RedirectURL="+window.location.href+"'")); saveButton && console.log(saveButton.attr("href",saveButton.attr("href")+"&rdr="+rdrURL)); }); ------------------------------ Jeff ------------------------------ Re: How Do I Setup the Image Onload Technique (IOL)?Does iol work on the mobile quickbase website? Asking especially for Everyone on the internet apps. ------------------------------ Jeff Jeff ------------------------------ Creating an examHello all, I'm looking to create an app that allows everyone on the internet to take a test, and I'm hoping to get some help with the basic app structure. This will allow internal users to create tests, add questions and multiple choice answers. I'll layout what my initial thinking was. Tables: Tests has many related Test Questions has many related Submissions Test Questions: has many related Possible Answers, and one related correct answer Submissions Everyone on the internet will have the ability to add a record from the related Test Should list all the Test Questions and allow the user to select from the Possible Answer for each question Possible Answers I'm having trouble figuring out how I could display all the test questions on a Submission form. My goal was to then use formula fields to calculate how many of the given answers equal the correct answer and therefore have it automatically graded. Ideally the user will open the Tests table, pick a test, then click a button which adds a record to Submissions for that test and saves the record to submit their test. Hopefully I've started out in the right direction but I wouldn't mind totally changing the approach to something that would work better in Quickbase. I'm more concerned now with the basic structure right now and would work on permissions later to get it ready for Everyone on the internet. ------------------------------ Jeff Jeff ------------------------------ #AppbuildersRe: Delete File Attachment with API_EditRecordTo test deleting the previous version, so far I've tried adding the following parameters to the URL with no luck: &_vid_1= &_vid_1=0 &delfile_vid_1=0 &_vid_1=&delfile_vid_1=1 &_vid_1=&delfile_vid_1=0 Also tried these with "_vid_2" just in case it's one-indexed. ------------------------------ Jeff Jeff ------------------------------ Re: Delete File Attachment with API_EditRecordDo you know of any way to delete all revisions? I'm hoping to clear up some usage but this method just leaves the attachment in the attachment history. ------------------------------ Jeff Jeff ------------------------------ Re: How To Format A Date Returned From API?Thanks! I was able to convert the other way since I'm comparing dates from 2 different sources. datetime.utcfromtimestamp(float(str(my_date)[:10])).strftime('%m/%d/%Y') Am I missing something? Since I don't need the time of day I am getting matching dates, but this might not work if I needed the time of day. ------------------------------ Jeff Jeff ------------------------------ Re: How To Format A Date Returned From API?Any tips on how to do this in Python? I've tried using the datetime module but for some reason it's not recognizing my date string, even though my dates are "mm/dd/yyyy" and I'm passing it the "%m/%d/%Y" format. I'm also using pyqb since I'm not that familiar with the QuickBase API yet. ------------------------------ Jeff Jeff ------------------------------ Re: Popup record picker workaround!Does this capability extend to a report field that is set to <ask the user>?Re: How to display PDF in file attachment fieldsThe other thing I missed at first is where it says "/e30/" in the url, 30 should be replaced with your Attachment Field ID#.
