I have just copied the formula that you have shared above and changed the multi select field to the field in my app... var text value = ToText([Caller Needs, Interests, Drivers]); Sum( ToNumber(Trim(Part($value,1,";"))), ToNumber(Trim(Part($value,2,";"))), ToNumber(Trim(Part($value,3,";"))), ToNumber(Trim(Part($value,4,";"))), ToNumber(Trim(Part($value,5,";"))), ToNumber(Trim(Part($value,6,";"))), ToNumber(Trim(Part($value,7,";"))), ToNumber(Trim(Part($value,8,";"))), ToNumber(Trim(Part($value,9,";"))), ToNumber(Trim(Part($value,10,";"))), ToNumber(Trim(Part($value,11,";"))), ToNumber(Trim(Part($value,12,";"))), ToNumber(Trim(Part($value,13,";"))), ToNumber(Trim(Part($value,14,";"))), ToNumber(Trim(Part($value,15,";"))), ToNumber(Trim(Part($value,16,";"))), ToNumber(Trim(Part($value,17,";"))), ToNumber(Trim(Part($value,18,";"))), ToNumber(Trim(Part($value,19,";"))), ToNumber(Trim(Part($value,20,";"))) ) I have this in formula numeric field and trying to hopefully get a pie graph out of the data.Re: Trying to ""Count"" the number of selections in a multi-select text fieldIt seems that the above solution has worked for people previously, but I am having a hard time with it. When I insert my multi-select text field after the ToText command, I get an error stating that was not expecting a textlist. It will still save, but doesn't return any results. I'm fairly new to this platform, so I'm not sure if I'm just doing something wrong or if this really isn't possible. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. ThanksRe: Using a formula numeric field to find an average score of several questions but want to exclude questions that are N/AThat seems like a fantastic solution. Thanks! I will be implementing that right away.Re: Using a formula numeric field to find an average score of several questions but want to exclude questions that are N/AThis reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Using a formula numeric field to find an average score of several questions but w....Using a formula numeric field to find an average score of several questions but want to exclude questions that are N/AI have a formula numeric field [score] that is assigning a value to checkboxes ( [meets], [partial meets], and [does not meet] ) and then calculating the average of those assigned values. I want to be able to a N/A to each question, and have the formula numeric field calculate the average of only those that are applicable. Is there any way to do this? Thanks Currently my formula looks like this: var number Q1 = If([Q1-meets], 1, [Q1-partial meets], 0.6, 0.3); var number Q2 = If([Q2-meets], 1, [Q2-partial meets], 0.6, 0.3); var number Q3 = If([Q3-meets], 1, [Q3-partial meets], 0.6, 0.3); var number Q4 = If([Q4-meets], 1, [Q4-partial meets], 0.6, 0.3); ($Q1 + $Q2 + $Q3 + $Q4)/4
