Thank you for your response. appreciate the helpRe: Self Relating table -lookup and reportWell I should re frame, the current user need not be a manager. So referencing from my earlier example. If the current user is rid 1- the report outcome should have staff rid 1,2,4. The logic you suggest above will work only when a manager logs in and will fail for any other user.Self Relating table -lookup and reportSo I have tried to create a table related to itself. I am maintaining a staff table which join itselfs to maintain its manager hierarchy information. Now I want to create a report based on the current user's manager. I want to show only the staff that have the manager same as the currently logged in user. Demonstrating the ask with an example: Now let's say the current user who is logged in is aaa@abc.com whose related manager is 2. the report should show all staff who have related manager as 2. Does this sound like something that can be achieved? Any help is appreciated. Thanks, save and open a new windowHi, I am trying to create a URL button which first saves the record andthen opens a new window. Since the rid doest exist while creating the record, I want to first save the record and then be able to pass the rid to the new window. Any help is appreciated? Thanks, Connected Table RelationshipsSo here is the problem I am facing: I have a connected table which has a list of all employees, now this table is updated and maintained externally. - and this is correctly reflected in Quickbase using Connected Tables. 2 tables: Employees Table- connected table Association Table- manually created table What am I trying to do? I have created an Associations table- the purpose of this is be able to look up a particular employee from the Employees table (connected table) - Lets call this relationship Related Leader . - I am easily able to achieve this by creating a Employee (Master) to Associations (Details) table relationship. Further, this chosen Leader employee may have associations with multiple other employees. I want to create a relationship that helps me lookup and list all the associated employees with the chosen Leader. - I am struggling with this part. Any help/thoughts are appreciated In short, I want to maintain the related leader and all the employees under that leader in one view. Is there a way to achieve this? Re: Button to send subscriptionthe other issue I am facing with this is - firstly only the owner of the subscription can send those out. In addition only admins can be owners. Any suggestions?Re: Button to send subscriptiondidnt think it would be so simple. Thanks. To that point, do you know if there is a way we could have multiple recipients in the To and have CC as well instead of sending out individual emails?Button to send subscriptionSince Quick Base natively doesn't allow to send subscriptions at a specified time period, I tried create a URL button that sends out notification only when it is clicked on. The code for the button isURLRoot() & "db/bnhq7nc5j" & "?a=SendSubscription&ID=XX" However, I noticed that this works only when the subscription is activated. Well, if I keep the subscription active it will automatically trigger at a particular timeframe and I do not want that to happen. Are there any alternative solutions to this? I want to trigger a notification (which is basically a report) to multiple users at a particular time only. I do not mind doing this using the native functionality available or some coding logic. And also i do not want to plug this button at a record level, I want to create this button on the homepage Feel free to propose any suggestions. Thanks ,Re: parent child reportbut this will not show projects which do not have a task associated with them. I am almost looking to do something like a left outer join on projects- if that makes sense.Re: parent child reportyeah- i dont think there will be more than 10 tasks. What are you thinking?
