The only caveat to this is that you will not be able to paste the characters into a Grid Edit, you will have to open the record and paste it into the Rich Text field directly, as I was able to do here with the Chinese characters above. (Note that while I was able to get the data to store correctly in Rich Text, not every browser rendered it correctly on screen. I found Chrome the most useful for entering the data, and Edge the least) ------------------------------ Ben Smith ------------------------------ Re: Tracking history without loggingIf I've understood you properly, you have two fields [Current Value] and [Previous Value]. When [Current Value] updates, regardless of how, [Previous Value] should be set the the old value of [Current Value]. A second Automation can set your [Previous Value] field to be the Old_Value of your [Current Value]. The second Automation should fire only when [Current Value] is modified, but it will fire in response to any change, whether it comes from a user or another Automation, (or an API call, or whatever else might change it). ------------------------------ Ben Smith ------------------------------ Re: Thanks for a successful 2nd Detroit User Group! It was a lot of fun. Super cool to meet everyone and geek out about Quickbase a bit. ------------------------------ Ben Smith ------------------------------ Re: QuickBase Reaches Escape VelocityI was able to replicate everything from Dan, though I needed to go to the pastie database to copy the Formula - Rich Text code, since the back ticks were changed to single quotes here. ------------------------------ Ben Smith ------------------------------
