This might solve yourproblem. I set my CSV in a variable and then just pass it into an URL. If you have yet to solve this problem I can post the formula so you can see it. Also if Dan has any problems with this I would liketo know because I am interested in his thoughts about this native approach.Add Child Record from Gen Add Record Form and View Child RecordHello, I have a process where users will add a new record and then from that add record form they need to be able to add a child record and have that parent record ID be related to that child record. Once they save the child record it should show the child record in view mode.As of right now it returns to the parent record in edit mode. My questions are: 1. How do I pass the related parent record id to the child record from an add record screen? 2. How do I view the child record after saving the child record? Thanks all!Re: Easy question...I'm sureHello, This is simple enough to to do through a Webhook but I would consider your table setup first. Why not just have not just have one table called "Cases" and have a status field on each record saying "Open" or "Closed". Then you could run reports on only one table and have all users look at just the one cases table. All dashboard reports could look at this one table and you could run formulas or form rules based on this status field. If it is a permissions issue i.e you only want sales people to see open cases you can create different role and permission out the closed cases to sale team.Re: Query the Response from an API_AddRecord formula text buttonGreat. The only reason I used console.log was to see what it looked like but that was as far as I got. It sounds like I will absolutely need a code page. I am pretty sure I have the resources to make the code page. My question is why use IOL can't I just use an a href tag and link to said code page? Love the IOL technique, we use it all over the place, just trying to understand it better. Thanks!Query the Response from an API_AddRecord formula text buttonHello, I have a formula text button which is an API_AddRecord and uses J-Growl notifcation to show the product has been added. I made each product have a unique field so it can't be added twice. The result is when the user clicks an already selected product it will still show the notification it has been added, but it will not add the product. In the console I can see the reponseText showing the unique record error. Overall the system works great but I was hoping to enhance it by showing a J-Growl notification that says the product has already been added based on the response. Basically how do I query the API response and make the notification dynamic based on the response? Below is my current code within my formula text button. The $ADDPROD variable is a simple API_AddRecord. Let me know if this is possible within the formula-text field or if I have to create a code page for it. var text URL = "javascript:" & "console.log($.get('" & $ADDPROD & "',function(){" & "$.jGrowl('"&[Product Name]&" Added', {life: 5000, theme: 'jGrowl-green'});" & "}));" & "void(0);"; "<a href=\"" & $URL &"\"" & ">Add to Activity" & "</a>" Thanks!Re: Hide Save at the bottom of the formThere is a uservoice topic already created (see link). Seems like this is something that Quick Base will change soon. https://quickbase.uservoice.com/forums/111823-quick-base-product-feedback/suggestions/31385695-suppr...Re: Total of a field , without relationshipGreat. I got the alert popup to work. I am not sure how to calculate the total with the API_genresultstable? Possible to provide some color on that as well?Re: Total of a field , without relationshipHello, I am trying to do something similar. Essentially I am trying to get a summary field without a relationship. I have some coding skills and I am proficient with quick base api's but could you possibly provide some more information on how to do this?Re: Formula Fields on Dashboard ButtonHey Matt, Sure thing. My button works great for fields that are static and need to be filled in with the same thing each time. Here is my custom URL button on my dashboard. Field 23 fills in great but I am not sure I will be able to fill in field 59 with the current month and year. Is that possible to have a formula in a URL button on a dashboard. Once again I could very easily create a table with one record and then just put that on the dashboard in a report but I am interested to see if this is possible. hostname.quickbase.com/db/bmueut4ne?a=API_AddRecord&_fid_23=Monthly Commentary&_fid_59= [Current Month][Current Year]&disprec=1 Any thoughts? Thanks.Formula Fields on Dashboard ButtonHello, Is there anyway to add dynamic formula fields to a dashboard URL button. Basically if I want to have a add new record button on a dashboard that fill in certain fields with the current year and current date what would my URL button look like. As a note I know I could just create a table with one record and this button on the record which would work fine. Thanks.
