I kinda gave up trying to get this to work so i'm wondering if there's a way to refresh a specific field but not refreshing the entire page. So that people can just spam click this button until they get a 15 character random code. also i've got a Length formula for the field its generating on so to make sure its 15 (Sadly it only works if the value is refreshed by Highlighting the value, cutting, clicking out of it and pasting it back in) I just tried adding this into a rich text field but it ended up just refreshing the entire page. I rarely ask for help lol, unless i'm totally stuck. ------------------------------ Thanks, Mikail Kote ------------------------------Re: Display URL link to a recordi had to change mine a bit for it to work URLRoot() &"db/" &Dbid() & "?a=dr&rid=" & [Record ID#] Re: Can i pull a report that shows the ship to state for an orderAssuming you have anaddress field named [Ship To] 1.) I recommend you create another field Called Ship to State and make sure it is set to Formula - Text 2.)If you look on youraddress field optionsand scroll all the way down you will seeAddress Subfields. Use the field label[Ship To: State/Region] 3.) so just open up your newly created field Ship to Stateand simply enter [Ship To: State/Region]and you're all set Now for a report you can simply use the address field subfields as the columns Re: Can I display only City and State values to be entered for an address field?Or you can involve Formula fields to avoid having too many Dynamic rules 1.)Like you said 2 fields LabeledStateandCitymake them bothFormula - Text 2.)If you look on youraddress field optionsand scroll all the way down you will seeAddress Subfields. using the field labels such as[Address: City]and[Address: State/Region]you can apply them to your newly created fields 3.)Very simple UnderCityfield just enter[Address: City] and do the same to State UnderStatefield just enter[Address: State/Region] 4.)Make sure to place them into your form asEdit or View and finally: Re: I Got My ClipboardDoesn't seem to work, I clicked oncopy on your demo"https://haversineconsulting.quickbase.com/db/bnpjas7yc?a=dr&rid=1" and nothing happens :( Can i manually place sub-fields into a form from the address field? Can i manually place sub-fields into a form from the address field? I'm trying to fix a space issue when moving the address field to the right (Shown in attached Image). My Form consists of over 800+ Fields, its big and i had to make most of it on the same row as other fields, i'm trying to add the address field to the far right but its affecting the form by leaving massive space just below the address field, i'm trying to get around this by separating the sub fields and placing in the same row as the other fields so it lines up, and if there's no way to separate the sub-fields is there a formula to enter/edit information and send it to a sub-field so that its simulating the separation of the sub-fields. Thanks in advance Re: Pretty large project | just a little stuck.. there's lots of rulesthank you :D. that was perfect.Pretty large project | just a little stuck.. there's lots of rules I'm going to shorten this as much as i can because there is way too much to show. So i'm creating a way to calculate Hours Worked/8hrs a day basically i just need to figure out a rule, if i get this 1st part done the rest is easy im just stuck right now. so there are 4 Fields ( ill try to show make it make more sense) A B | Hour Assigned | Hours Clocked | OOA ___________________________________________________ In Out | In Out 1st | 12:30 pm - 12:45 pm |12:32 pm - 12:47 pm | 2 (Should Show this, but shows 0) ( each time is a separate Field) i have Created 4 fields Called | 1stInA | 1stOutA | 1stInB |1stOutB i want to make it so there difference between1stInB & 1stOutB is always 15mins So far i only have this: ( ToMinutes( [1stOutB] - [1stOutA] ) ) + ( ToMinutes( [1stInB] - [1stInA] ) ) That's what i came up without the use of IF then, the problem was that it kept giving me a 0 i want to make it if the time on B side is under 12:30pm (1stInB) it will count and if its above the 12:30pm (1stInB) it doesnt count and make12:45 pm (1stOutA) count if its over and doesnt count if its under. hopefully all of this makes sense... So if A B | Hour Assigned | Hours Clocked | OOA ___________________________________________________ In Out | In Out 1st | 12:30 pm - 12:45 pm |12:25 pm - 12:40 pm | 5 i really hope there is solution to this, ill keep working on it but i really think i hit a brick wall here...
