I want users to navigate to the table and a default report...and I don't know if they are more likely to use mobile or desktop. ------------------------------ Kevin O'Boyle ------------------------------ Re: Email notifications stopped workingOur notifications fired at 11:30pm last night so it appears it was something on the QB sideRe: Email notifications stopped workingWe have the same issue. Just one of our apps that Quickbase has in quarantineRe: Need to create email button on a form that sends the form fields (or form) to QB User directly. You can create a formula - rich text button that references an email icon image. The button can call two nested urls, the first which is an edit record api command that will trigger an email notification of a for ; and the second component is a url redirectRe: active projects trend graphHi simon, Two options: 1) you can create a formula url button that calls the RunImport api. You need to have someone press the button (you could set up a subscription that would email you the button monthly - and then you press it) URL format: https://target_domain/db/target_dbid?... &apptoken=app_token&ticket=auth_ticket Option 2: use a tool like zapier or Workato. I personally like zapier because its simple and cheap. This would let you fully automate the snapshot by scheduling it to run at a desired time. You need to still call the runimport api from zapier or Workato (If you dont want to use zapier or Workato, you could use windows task scheduler to accomplish the above with a .bat file with the syntax start iexplore then the url)Re: How do I number the lines on a report extract? Thanks. And to make sure, the running total column will show up in the csv export? How do I number the lines on a report extract?I?m building a tool that auto-create the Work orders needed to replenish our inventory kanbans. The report will always have different items on it. In the extract report I need to number the lines 1 to n where n ranges from 2 to 99. I?m looking for suggestions to accomplish this - or to partner with someone who could develop a solution.Re: Is there any way to push data in to Quick Base table from an excel, CSV or other kind of files? You have to download it and install within MS Access. There is a 3-minute video on the website explaining the installation process. The software costs $500 as a one time fee. The software creates an ODBC connection with Quickbase - any app that shares a common apptoken used in the qunect installation. You link a Quickbase into your MS Access database the same way you would any external table. At this point, your Quickbase data is viewable in Access like a regular Access table. To push data, you write an append query in MS Access - that uses your text files as the source and Quickbase table as the destination. The other big benefit is in troubleshooting- when a connected table starts to fail, you dont have many options for converting to a regular table. This qunect setup gives tremendous flexibility. Use case: On a daily basis, I refresh our backlog info from our ERP this way. First I call API_PurgeRecords, then I call my Access append queryRe: Is there any way to push data in to Quick Base table from an excel, CSV or other kind of files?Im a big fan of the qunect ODBC - go to qunect.com Ive been using it daily for two years now and have found it reliable with large data sets. You use MS Access to link in many disparate xlsx, csv and text files ; transform as needed in access so that Quickbase can more readily link and summarize with correct primary and foreign keys - then use qunect to push into QuickbaseRe: How to renumber a set of records?you'll want to insert new number into all the reports and forms where 'oldnumber' was. go to the field properties on 'oldnumber' and view the usage tab, replace oldnumber everywhere it exists, then delete oldnumber. A lazier option that I often use is to convert old number into a field type formula - numeric. Set old number = newnumber. then convert oldnumber back to a regular numeric field. this saves time and effort if you have alot of reports and forms to update
